Arriving at នគរចម្ប៉ា Champa Kingdom

The 1st Century ad

After months of sailing, Prince Kumeru arrived in the Champa Kingdom. Prince commanded his crew to landing in this Kingdom and took a ship's boat with only 10 men and some gifts from India with him to go paying his respect to the King of Champa and told the King about his story and reason looking for a place to live. Prince asked King of Champa for a permit to stay in the land. The Cham King agreed and gave a land to Prince so Prince can build houses making his people to live in. Two years later, Prince Kumeru became very popular in this Kingdom because of his teaching skill to Cham people such as building school, temple, boat, house, making clothes, writing system, Indian customs etc...the Cham people loved Prince Kumeru very much making the Cham King very jealous and very worry thinking that one day Prince Kumeru could revolt against him. So one night, the Cham King ordered his army to kill Prince and all his men, but Prince was informed in advance and prepared to fight against the King's army. Prince ordered his troop to leave their houses before the Cham army arrival. As soon as the Cham army arriving in front of their houses, Prince and his troop came out from the jungle and circulated around the Cham army. To avoid the bloodshed, Prince told the Cham Chief army that Prince will go by himself in the morning telling the King that Prince and all his men will leave the Kingdom in 3 days. The Cham Chief's army agreed and returned back to the King's palace telling the King as Prince had told him. In the morning, Prince was at the Cham King's royal court in front of the King saying that he was sorry and understand the King's feeling and promised to leave the Kingdom in 3 days. The Cham King agreed and allowed Prince and his troop staying as per his request. Prince said thank you and said goodbye to the King. During these 3 days, the Cham people came to see Prince with tears, Huggins him and kissing him, did not want him to go. Prince said goodbye to the Cham people and promised he will come to visit them someday. The troop packed all personal belonging and all supplies returned back to the ship. At sunset, Prince was sad standing again onboard of the ship looking at Cham people on the other side waving and crying to him, he waved back to them. The ship started to sail along the big large river where there were coconut trees, wild trees, wildflowers so beautiful along the riverbank.

The Sailendra of Java (Lord of Mountain) was a descendant of Khmer Phnom Kingdom (Funan=Lord of Mountain). 650 AD to 850 AD After escaped from the Kampu (Chenla) invasions, some of the royal family of Phnom (Funan) was settled in Java, built and founded a new dynasty of the Sailendra of Java. The   Sailendra with Mahayana Buddhism was  powerful and famous in Java.
